5 Facts About Me (Count Down)

Yay!! it's Thursday:)

It's nearly the last day to post my 5 facts, I hope these short snippets into my life made you think about your childhood, that it reminded you about things you thought you've forgotten.

Let's dive in with the fact of the day

4. My favorite movie is Coyote Ugly

I was drawn to this movie like a moth to a flame, completely obsessed!

Now before DSTV, E-tv was the best movie channel.

On a yearly basis, the same movies would play so you had the reassurance that you would get to watch the one movie you missed but it was always a matter of when.

Chick Flick Thursdays were always something to look forward to in the week filled with school and homework.

At 20h00 on Thursdays, my cousins and I would sit in front of the TV and chill. I would jump at the chance to relax before bed especially when my cousin would tell me "Your movie is coming on tonight".

I'm sure at the age I watched this movie for the first time, I enjoyed it for the singing and to this day I still enjoy watching it.

There was always one obstacle when it came to a Thursday, the chance of the TV getting switched off in your face (because you had to say goodbye to your movie and switch it off).

20h00 was my grandfather's time slot for 'Huisgods Diens' and we had it every night, some nights we hoped our grandfather would forget but that was on rare occasions.

My grandfather would read out of a green book, with all of Jesus's miracle in them from, the women of the issues of blood, Jesus raises Jairus's daughter, Jesus stilled the storm the list goes on.

This threw our movie night out the window!

Our grandfather would tell us about Jesus, how much He loves us, and how He died on the cross for us.

In yesterday's post, I stated 'he (my grandfather) taught us, disciplined us, and disciplined us and those are memories we will never forget' and this is a testament to that.
