Tribute to our Fallen Angels

Heavy rain poured down from the clouds in the last few days. Winter is coming to a close and the mountains are topped with snow. I can't believe the year is more than halfway done!
Its the last day of women's month, and I think of all the women who did not get to celebrate this month with us.
The number of women who's lives got taken away:
Uyinene Mrwetyana
Jesse Hess
Maritza van der Linde
Anna Herbst
Nomvula “Juba” Buthelezi
Petula Williams
Phumeza Pepeta
Reeva Steenkamp
Leighandre Jegels

This weather brings on a somber mood and in the midst of this birds still chirp. The silver lining of hope, and will we hold onto for justice, to make the names and stories of these women known.
We celebrate their lives, continuing to share their heart and what they stood for. They were someone's sister, niece, cousin, daughter, granddaughter.
They deserved to live out their dreams and God-given talents, to graduate from university, and to have the privilege of having their own families someday. They deserved to enjoy retirement, watch their grandchildren grow, and traveling to places their hearts longed to see.

The women above by the name of Cindy September, born and raised in Robertson, Western Cape. On the 9th of August 2019, Cindy started the list on Fallen Angels on SA Women Fight Back group in 2019.
So on 9 August 2019, just after joining the SA Women Fight Back Group, I sat and thought, why are we doing this? And then I instinctively started typing on a post: “Let’s do it for Anene Booysen, Let’s do it for Reeva Steenkamp” etc. I started with eight names that first night
Cindy has made it her mission to continually voice/ make known the stories and names of these women who were viciously taken away from their families and friends. We will continue to remember, push, and advocate for the voices who were silenced.
Life is hard enough, the senseless killing of women and children needs to end!
Today I wish to address the loved ones who are mourning their Fallen Angel :
Words cannot heal, it cannot fix the broken heart but know that there are angels all around watching over you. Time doesn't heal but time is what you need.
May the Lord comfort you and keep you, strengthen your inner man to continue the fight for justice.

We as a nation stand with you!
